Despite its name, Irish moss (Chondrus Crispus) isn’t really a moss. It’s actually a type of algae, or seaweed that is red and branching. It grows on rocks and sea shells in the sea. It is found on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Britain, Europe, and North America. Our Irish moss is wildcrafted by hand from the coast of New England (North America).

Another healthy source found in Irish moss is fucoxanthin, a carotenoid that gives Irish moss its rich red-brown or purple color.

Raw Purple Moss (Dry) comes in a resealable bag with a clear backside displaying the raw and dry Irish moss.

Instructions:
Gel: To convert the dry moss to a gel thoroughly wash and rinse the salt and debris and inspect. Soak the dry moss in room temperature spring water for 24 hours. Then strain and rinse again. Put the moss in a blender, add spring water and blend until smooth. (Make sure its not too thick) Pour in glass container.
Powder: To convert the dry moss to a powder thoroughly wash, rinse and inspect. Put it in a dehydrator set for 100 degrees Fahrenheit until completely dry and brittle. Put it in a herb grinder or a Vitamix blender until its a complete powder substance.
